Dr. Merewood is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Community Health at Boston University, as well as a trained IBCLC.  She’s passionate about breastfeeding support in underserved populations, specifically those home to Native Americans. 

She is a former executive committee member of the International Society for Research in Human Milk and Lactation, and member of the American Public Health Association and the Society for Prevention Research. She also sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Maternal Child Nutrition, and is the former Editor in Chief of the Journal of Human Lactation.
