Learn more about what makes Willow Go moms’ favorite pump — optimized for comfort, milk output, and freedom.
The Pump That’s Built for More — From the Inside Out
Willow Go is designed with a shape that mimics the breast (no bulky motor poking out of your bra, no dangling cords or clips) to fit in your bra and your life. While it may look like other pumps on the market (some of which are cheaply-produced knockoffs, FYI!), our technology and design are what make it moms’ favorite.
Below, we’re diving into what makes it different and why it’s chosen by a majority of moms as their primary pump (that’s right, over their traditional pumps and other wearable pumps).
Designed for a Secure Fit and Discretion
Most of the wearable pumps you’ve likely seen are designed with a motor that sits on top of the pump. These motors are heavy and can push your pump down — leading to discomfort and challenges with alignment. To avoid this, Willow Go is built with an interior donut-shaped motor that results in better weight distribution — allowing for a pump that sits comfortably and securely in-bra.
This mom-first design also leads to optimal suction and milk output. When your pump is sitting securely on your chest, it’s more likely to be properly aligned on your nipple — and proper alignment is critical for a successful pump session.
Moms say: “My output is the same as with my Spectra! I love how mobile it makes me, how discreet it can be, how little set up is [required] when I know I have to pump on the go.”
Built for More Comfort and Milk Output
What makes Willow designed for your most comfortable and productive pumping session?
First, the multiple levels of hospital-grade suction that can be customized per side. It’s likely that one of your breasts will produce a bit (or a lot) more milk than the other, and customizable suction means you can treat each individually and get better output in turn.
Second, our flange design — featuring a longer, continuous flange tunnel that comfortably fits more nipple sizes without rubbing or abrasion. A flange that’s too short can lead the nipple to “crash” against the end of the tunnel, causing discomfort and potentially even damaging nipples. And as you can imagine, if your pump is causing your nipple to compress in this way, it’s likely not emptying your breasts as much as possible.
Finally, our flange cone is wider (105° to be exact) than many you’ll find — most pumps have a flange that’s 90° wide. This means that the flange covers more of the breast, allowing for more optimal alignment and suction. In clinical trials, this 105° angle has been shown to optimize both comfort and milk output. (Another feature of our flange design that seems small, but makes a big difference? Whereas many pumps have a flat edge, ours have curved edges that wrap back around the pump — resulting in less potential pinching or pulling of your sensitive skin.)
Moms say: “I love not having the awkward pump protruding from my bra, and I seem to get a much better output from them — whether because of increased comfort or because of suction I can’t say.”
Engineered for Ease of Use
Willow pumps are easy to assemble and clean, but they’re also app-connected and controlled: providing moms with ultimate flexibility and convenience during their sessions.
Moms can use the Willow app to start and stop their pumps, adjust their suction, switch between stimulation and expression modes, and track their milk output — all with a tap. It means you never need to reach into your bra during your session and can truly pump hands-free. (The app is also home to hundreds of articles and videos on all things pumping and breastfeeding, and can also be used to book sessions with lactation consultants and other postpartum professionals.)
Moms say: “I like using the app so I don’t have to dig under my shirt to change the suction and I can also check my timing.”
