Press Play: Our CEO, Sarah O’Leary, Chats Flexible Feeding on the Momwell Podcast

Tune in to listen to their conversation on the state of feeding, how to increase support for moms, and more.

Earlier this year, we partnered with our friends at Bobbie and SimpliFed, and the economist and author Emily Oster, to produce the State of Feeding — a report revealing the realities of baby feeding for new parents, and debuting a feeding guide designed to support all feeding choices.

The survey found that while 80% of moms planned to feed their babies breastmilk for up to one year, only 41% were actually able to do so. When asked why, 80% reported issues ranging from lack of parental leave and lack of lactation support to concerns about infant nutrition.

The takeaway: there’s a huge disconnect between moms’ expectations and realities, and moms need more support. They also need to know that it’s okay to “combination feed” (or stop breastfeeding altogether) if they’re struggling.

We’re so glad that our CEO, Sarah O’Leary, joined Andrea Ippolito, founder of CEO at SimpliFed, on the Momwell podcast to shed light on this important topic. Read more on the Momwell blog or check out their conversation with Momwell’s Erica Djossa below!
