Most moms find that wearable pumps (like all things baby feeding!) come with a bit of a learning curve — and Willow 360 is no different. It’s designed with an innovative continuous latch that makes it possible to lay down, bend over, or run around without leaks, and for that reason, it can take your body a minute to adjust.
The good news: by perfecting your flange fit, picking the right pumping bra, and making sure your pump is properly aligned on your breast, you can be up and running with optimal comfort and output in no time.
Willow 360 Care is here to help you do just that. It’s one-of-a-kind support for a one-of-a-kind pump — premium, personalized, available when you need it, and designed to provide you the confidence you need to make the most of your newfound freedom.
Here’s how we’re meeting moms where they are:
Virtual onboarding session:
Book a virtual session with a Willow Mom Coach for support with sizing and so much more. They can help you measure your nipples to find the flange (or flange and insert combination), answer any questions you have about getting started with your pumps, and even connect you directly with a lactation consultant. More on that later!
Remember: size really matters when pumping with Willow 360 since the leak-proof latch requires a more snug fit. Your comfort and output depend on it! You’ll want to add just 0-2 mm to your nipple measurement to find the flange (or flange and insert combination) that works best. Learn more about why fit is so important and how to measure.
When it comes to your bra, remember that it should be snug and stretchy with full coverage. If it’s too big, your suction will suffer — and on the flip side, if it’s too small, you’ll experience discomfort. Stay away from anything with underwire to help protect your breasts from plugged ducts and mastitis! Willow pumping bras are designed to fit our pumps.
Finally, you’ll want to make sure that your nipple is aligned in the center of your flange. You can check this by removing your pump after a session and checking to see that the light circular imprint left by the flange is surrounding your nipple equally on all sides.
Complimentary sizing inserts
Once you’ve met with a Coach, receive additional sizing inserts for free if you need a flange size smaller than 21 mm. (They’ll make your pump fit more snug and comfortable.)
Extra inserts can be especially helpful as your nipples change throughout your pumping and breastfeeding journey — and they will! Remember to measure any time that you notice a change in comfort or output, and to experiment with different sizes regardless of your measurement if you’re still feeling like something is off. Sizing is an art, not a science.
Direct access to lactation consultants
The lactation consultants at SimpliFed are experts on all things feeding — available for questions about supply, schedules, picking a bottle, supplementing with formula, and more. (They’re also trained on Willow pumps!) Your Coach can book your session for you, taking one thing off your to-do list.
You don’t need to wait until you have an issue to connect with an LC. They’re incredible resources when things get crazy, but equally as valuable when you’re simply in need of some reassurance or practical advice (ie. how to prepare to return to work without impacting your supply). Book now.
